Why we're doing this

Every vendor.
One ground.
For the first time.

We're bringing the whole Goan events industry in the UK together for a day of football, networking, fun and friendship — caterers, decorators, DJs, MCs, bands, photographers, videographers, bar teams, planners and more.

The motto is simple: foster the relationships between all vendors and grow the community. Whether you're behind the decks, the camera or the bar the rest of the year, on this day you're on the pitch together. Everyone is welcome — including our female vendors and content creators.

Let's play. Let's connect. Let's grow together.

5-a-side football tournament

The Format

To keep things fair, balanced and full of new connections, no one brings a ready-made team. Every squad is built on the day through a live team draw.

Step one

Five vendor pots

Every confirmed vendor is placed into a pot based on what they do. (Our ladies' line-up has its own plan — more on that in the group.)

Step two

How a squad is built

5

Five starting players

One player drawn from each of the five pots, so every team has a DJ or band, an MC or baker, a decorator or caterer, a photographer or videographer, and a bar/other vendor.

2

Two substitute players

Subs are drawn separately and shared out evenly across teams. That makes a 7-player squad and allows rolling substitutions throughout the day.

= Balanced 7-player squads

Every team ends up the same size and the same mix — so the football is competitive and the networking is built right in.

The point of it all

Why we draw teams this way

  • ⚽ Fair and balanced
No stacked teams — everyone has a real chance.
  • 🤝 Networking built in
You meet vendors from every category, not just your own.
  • 🎉 Fun & competitive
Light, not tight — a great day of sport, food and music.
  • ❤️ One community
The UK Goan business community, together through football and friendship.
